Well, now let me tell you ’bout them toys folks are crazy ’bout these days. One of ’em is Leatherhead, a big ol’ mutant alligator fella, from that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles world. Now, Leatherhead ain’t no regular toy, no sir! He’s a mean-lookin’ critter with a history, let me tell ya.
Now, this Leatherhead fella, he started off as a regular little baby gator. Some boy had him as a pet, but the boy’s mean parents went and flushed poor Leatherhead right down the toilet! Can you imagine? Down he went into the sewer, and wouldn’t you know it, he got found by them Kraang folks. They went and did all sorts of experiments on him, turned him into a mutant gator! He’s got big ol’ humanoid arms and legs, but still looks like a gator in the face, with that big ol’ jaw and snappin’ teeth!
Leatherhead toys are mighty popular nowadays. They’re not just toys you hand over to any ol’ kid. No, they come with all sorts of gadgets and whatnot. For instance, there’s one of them toys that’s got a hinged jaw, so he can chomp down on them Ninja Turtles like nobody’s business! Plus, his tail, well, it’s got a bendy wire inside, so you can bash those turtle heads real good. He comes with all sorts of weapons too, like a big ol’ fishing rod, a turtle trap, and even a knife he can throw. Now, that’s something, huh?
These Leatherhead toys ain’t small neither, no sir. They’re big – 7 inches tall! That’s pretty big for a toy, I reckon. And they’re fully articulated too, which means you can move their arms and legs ’round all sorts of ways. Makes playin’ with ’em more fun, you see? Kids can make ’em wrestle or fight them turtles from sunup to sundown if they wanted to!
Now, you might think Leatherhead’s just a bad guy, but he ain’t always been that way. In some of them stories, he’s more of a fella who’s just tryin’ to get by. He’s not all bad, but when he’s angry, well, you best watch out! In some of them old TV shows, he’s a straight-up villain, but in others, he’s more like an anti-hero, kinda in-between, ya know? He’s got his reasons for doin’ what he does, and sometimes, he even helps the turtles! It depends on the version of the story you’re talkin’ ’bout.
Oh, and don’t forget, there’s a new movie comin’ out too, where Leatherhead’s showin’ up again. But this time, he’s a bit different, ya see. They’ve gone and made him a her! Yup, Leatherhead’s gonna be played by a woman in this new movie. They picked Rose Byrne, and folks know her from all sorts of movies, like them X-Men ones. That’s somethin’ new, huh? But I reckon Leatherhead’s still gonna be a tough-as-nails gator, whether it’s a him or her.
Now, if you’re lookin’ to get your hands on one of these here Leatherhead toys, well, they ain’t just lyin’ around at the local shop. A lot of ‘em are made-to-order, and they come with all kinds of special stuff. Like I said, some of ‘em got that weapon rack, and others come with special belts and whatnot. One of ‘em’s even got a Jumbo Gumbo Belt – now, I don’t rightly know what that is, but it sure sounds fancy!
Kids love ‘em, and let’s be honest, some grown-ups do too. Folks who grew up with them Ninja Turtles back in the ’80s and ’90s, well, they get all nostalgic seein’ these new Leatherhead toys. It’s like takin’ a trip back to their childhood, playin’ with toys just like they used to.
So, if you’re thinkin’ ‘bout gettin’ one of these Leatherhead toys, just know you’re gettin’ a whole lotta toy for your money.
