Ah, this Voss fella in Baldur’s Gate 3, you see, he’s one of them Githyanki leaders. Now, them Githyanki folks, they ain’t all that friendly, but Voss, he’s kinda different. Well, for the most part anyway. He ain’t out to cause trouble for everyone, at least not till the end of the game. If you’re the type who likes to help folks, free ‘em from their oppressors and whatnot, you’d better think about siding with him, you know? That’s what I heard.
Now, let me tell you, there’s this part where you gotta talk to Voss after a big ol’ conversation. But here’s the thing, you better have Lae’zel in your group, she’s Githyanki too, so it just makes sense. Oh, and don’t forget that hammer! It’s real important if you wanna make them Githyanki folks your allies in the final battle. This is all part of the game’s way of making sure you’ve gathered enough friends, or as the fancy folks say, “Gather Your Allies!”
Here’s a little tip, if you want Voss to show up at your camp, you gotta leave that big ol’ temple and teleport somewhere else. Any place will do, just as long as it ain’t the temple. Then, when you get ready to sleep, BAM! Voss shows up. It’s like the game knows you’re waiting for him. This part’s in Act 1, so don’t go forgetting!
But listen up, if you hand over that artifact to Voss, things ain’t gonna be all sunshine and rainbows. Nope, you’re gonna get into one heck of a fight. I mean, Voss don’t care much about you once he’s got what he wants. Lae’zel, she’s gonna be real mad at you too. And I don’t blame her. If you wanna walk away from that fight without getting all beat up, you’re gonna have to convince Voss that you’re still worth keeping around. Ain’t easy, but it’s doable if you’re smart about it.
Oh, and there’s this scene where Voss goes all crazy with hand gestures, real quick like. He tells you that obedience is your only hope, and let me tell you, that sounds mighty serious. You don’t wanna mess that up. You gotta just stand there and do nothing, don’t try to fight or nothing. It’s all about staying calm and letting Voss do his thing.
- Remember, talk to Voss with Lae’zel in your party.
- Keep that hammer on you if you want to make allies.
- Teleport away from the temple to get Voss at your camp.
- Don’t give him the artifact unless you’re ready for a fight.
- Stay calm when Voss starts acting all strange with them hand movements.
Now, this fella Voss, he can be found over at the Mountain Pass, ridin’ his fancy creature. He’s got that Githyanki attitude, all tough and mean. But if you play your cards right, he might just help you out. Just don’t go thinkin’ it’s gonna be an easy ride, cause with Voss, there’s always some kinda catch. That’s just the way it is with folks like him, you know?
And don’t forget to talk to Lae’zel after you’ve dealt with Voss. She’s got her own thoughts on what to do, whether to spare him or not. Might be a good idea to see what she’s thinking, cause she knows more about this Githyanki stuff than anyone else. Just don’t go rushin’ into decisions, you hear?
